Engaging Emerging Leaders
We want to engage emerging and established leaders from charities and nonprofits in an intergenerational conversation about the future of the sector so they can work collaboratively to achieve better outcomes for communities.
Our desire is to make the Summit as appealing and engaging as possible for the emerging leaders and thus we have reserved 80 of the 400 participant spots just for you!
Our strategy, spearheaded by our own emerging leaders, will continue to evolve as we lead up to the Summit. Thus far, the strategy has included:
- Approaching emerging leaders to play key roles at the Summit.
- Having emerging leaders as co-leads for each of the priority action groups.
- Inviting each of the young co-leads to author an article in The Philantropist to give voice to the next generation.
- Working with a new network for young nonprofit professionals in the National Capital.
- Offering a pre-session gathering to engage young leaders who are in attendance.
And more to come! So please be sure to stay tuned and engaged by self-identifying as a Young Leader (18 to 35) when you register for the Summit.
We also welcome your ideas about how to make the Summit “Young Leader Friendly,” so don’t hesitate to contact Amanda with your suggestions.
Sponsoring Young Leaders
The Summit is a great learning opportunity for Young Leaders who want to explore the issues facing our sector and to be part of the collective action going forward. There are two ways to sponsor Young Leaders:
- If you want to support financially the participation of a Young Leader, all you have to do is fill out the registration form in their name including their contact information (and don’t forget to self-identify them as a Young Leader).
- Or, when registering for the event, you can also make a donation that will be put towards our Young Leaders initiative.
